Featured Artist

Shawn Krueger, born in 1973, is a contemporary landscape painter whose work sits comfortably in both the American Tonalist and Arts & Crafts traditions. Shawn received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Calvin College in 1998, studying under Chris Stoffel Overvoorde. Upon graduation, he traveled frequently to the UK and painted in nearly every corner of Great Britain. Over the years, Krueger has shown his oil landscape paintings in a wide variety of galleries and curated shows in the Midwest, East Coast and Southeastern United States. In 2016, Krueger was juried into the highly reputable Roycroft Artisan Guild (RALA) in East Aurora, NY. 2018 will see the artist’s first appearance in London having again been chosen by curators Trek Lexington and Dina Brodsky for the third installment of their popular and critically lauded Palette exhibitions. Shawn Krueger’s work has garnered a number of awards over the years and his pieces are in dozens of private collections as well as in the permanent collections of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Gilda’s Club of GR, Calvin College and the Bissell Corporation.
